Why did Amy make a career change?
I have a creative, project-management mindset. When the startup nonprofit I helped get off the ground entered its sustainment phase, I realized I needed a different kind of challenge going forward than it could offer me at that point. I had my resume posted to several job-search websites when Liz approached me about franchising opportunities. My husband and I had several reasons to be skeptical of business ownership, but when Liz answered each of them and we met the folks at our franchisor’s main office, we decided it was a risk worth taking.
Why will Amy make a great franchisee?
I’m a reliable, creative, and communicative self-starter who’s determined to build the business and create lasting value for both our clients and the eventual buyer of our business.
What were Amy’s search criteria for finding the right franchise company?
I didn’t have search criteria because I wasn’t looking for a franchise opportunity. It pretty much came to me and answered any objections I had when looking for it in the first place.
